- 3-4 lbs. chicken (thighs, wings and/or drumsticks)
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup white vinegar
- 6-8 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 whole onion
- Ground black pepper
- Whole black pepper corns
- Adobo seasoning (optional)
- Sugar (optional)
- Steamed jasmine rice (optional), for serving
Combine all ingredients in a large pot.
Bring mixture to a boil over medium-high heat,
then reduce heat to medium-low.
Cover and simmer for about 40-45 minutes or
until chicken is tender and thoroughly cooked.
