      Chicken Adobo

      Ingredients:



      • 3-4 lbs. chicken (thighs, wings and/or drumsticks)

      • ½ cup soy sauce

      • ¼ cup white vinegar

      • 6-8 cloves garlic, crushed

      • 1 whole onion

      • Ground black pepper

      • Whole black pepper corns

      • Adobo seasoning (optional)

      • Sugar (optional)

      • Steamed jasmine rice (optional), for serving



      Combine all ingredients in a large pot.


      Bring mixture to a boil over medium-high heat,
      then reduce heat to medium-low.


      Cover and simmer for about 40-45 minutes or
      until chicken is tender and thoroughly cooked.


      Turn
      heat off. Add sugar for a sweeter taste.
