- 1 3/4 cup sugar (half brown sugar)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup milk, warmed
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 1/2 cups rhubarb
- 1 cup sugar (half brown sugar)
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 355 degrees.
Combine dry cake ingredients. Add all other cake ingredients, except rhubarb. With mixer, combine ingredients well. Fold in rhubarb.
Scrape into 9x13-inch pan.
Combine topping ingredients. Sprinkle on top of cake.
Bake 50 minutes, or until golden brown.
