French Iced Coffee



  • 3 cups STRONG coffee (about double the normal amount of grounds, to taste)

  • 2 cups sugar (dissolve in coffee)

  • 1 quart half & half

  • 1 quart real heavy cream

  • 1-2 tsp. vanilla (to taste)

Mix all the ingredients together. Pour into gallon freezer bags or ice cream
buckets. Freeze.

When ready to serve pull out of freezer with enough time to be
slushy, but not totally thawed (about 1-2 hours).

*Eileen's Notes: It takes a long time (an entire day) for the
coffee to freeze. I recommend using ice cream buckets (if you have them)
instead of Ziploc bags to freeze it in. Some of my adult friends like it with a
shot of Kahlua added as well. You can substitute coffee creamer (any flavor)
for the half & half.
