      Sweet Summer Beverage Alternatives

      Agua de Melon

      Ingredients:

      • 2 cups cantaloupe, diced
      • 1/2 tsp. coriander seeds, whole
      • 1/4 cup mint leaves, fresh
      • 4 cups water, still/mineral

      In a food processor, puree the cantaloupe, coriander and mint until smooth, about 1 minute. Pour mixture into a fine sieve. Press as much of the liquid as possible through the sieve and into a large pitcher. Add water, stir and serve over ice.

      *Serving size is about 1 cup.

      Raspberry Ice Tea Slushy

      Ingredients:

      • 1 cup sweetened frozen red raspberries
      • 1 1/2 cup ice cubes
      • 1 cup unsweetened iced tea

      Place all ingredients into blender. Whir until well blended and slushy, about 1 1/2 minutes.

      *Serving size is about 1 cup.

      Blackberry-Peach Smoothie

      Ingredients:

      • 3/4 cup ice cubes
      • 2 medium peaches, peeled, pitted and quartered
      • 1/4 cup fresh blackberries
      • 1/2 cup fat free skim milk

      Place ice in a blender; add peaches, blackberries and milk.

      Blend on high until smooth and ice is completely crushed, about 3 to 4 minutes.
