The heat can be difficult to handle out at the fair this year, but that's not stopping food vendors from pushing on.
No matter the attendance numbers or weather factors, it's late to bed and early to rise for fair vendors.
With the sun barely up and hardly a soul in sight, the sounds of rustling can be heard from food vendors prepping away in hopes for a busy day.
"We go through a few cases a day of bananas. The weekends are obviously a little busier than the week but we do them fresh everyday. So we just come out and do a few cases in the morning. It's beautiful out here this early in the morning," says vendor Jim Ritzman.
And though the crack of dawn may seem early for some, during these blistering hot days many find it's the best time for hard labor.
