Voters to decide between two candidates for Hall County attorney
For the first time in over twenty years residents of Hall County will have a chance to vote for a new county attorney.
Tuesday's election will decide between two current Hall County deputy attorneys to fill the position after former Hall County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf announced his retirement. David Medlin is one of the two deputy attorneys running for the position and believes that his experience is what sets him apart from his opponent.
Medlin said his well rounded experience in his prior work as a county and deputy county attorney is what he feels separates him from his opponent. In his 24 years as an attorney, Medlin worked in a private practice and as the Boone County attorney for 10 years from 1999 to 2009. In that time, he tried both civil and criminal cases.
Medlin takes on fellow deputy attorney and Republican Marty Klein to decide who will be the Hall County attorney.
