Lincoln woman sentenced in deadly G.I. crash
Grand Island, Neb. —
A woman convicted in a deadly Grand Island crash is headed to jail, but not right away.
Sheri Jindra, 35, was sentenced to 30 days in jail Friday, but the sentence is suspended until May 21, 2018, according to court records.
She's also been ordered to spend a year on probation.
Grand Island police said the Lincoln woman failed to yield at a stop sign at Engelman Road and Highway 34 last December, leading to the death of 41-year-old Melissa Brown.
Jindra pled no contest to vehicular manslaughter.
