Sen. Fischer calls for action following failed vote on health care legislation
Washington, D.C. —
Senator Deb Fischer called for action following a failed vote on a "skinny repeal" of the Affordable Care Act early Friday morning.
"For five years, thousands of Nebraskans have contacted me to share their personal stories of higher health care costs and fewer choices under Obamacare. They need relief. I am disappointed we were unable to move forward today. I believe the Senate should stay in session through the month of August to find a way to address this very important issue," she said in a statement.
