City of Hastings approves 911 telephone services agreement
HASTINGS, Neb. —
The Hastings City Council approved an agreement with Adams County Monday night regarding 911 emergency telephone services.
Hastings Police Captain Brian Hessler said currently a 911 surcharge is billed to both cellphones and landlines.
Before the approval Monday night, the money from the cellphone charges went to the City of Hastings and the money from the landlines went to Adams County.
Now, the money will all go to the City of Hastings.
