Family Fishing Day at Yanney Park set for June 3

(MGN)

A Free Family Fishing Day will be conducted at Yanney Park on Saturday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Cabela’s goodie bag will be given to the first 300 kids. Lunch will also be provided to the first 300 people by the Kearney Optimist Club. Check-in will be held at Rademacher’s Shelter on the west end of the lake.

Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Kearney Park and Recreation Staff will be on site to assist participants. Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will have a limited amount of equipment available to borrow, so participants are encouraged to bring their own gear if possible. All adults, age 16 and older, will need a 2017 fishing license if they wish to fish at this event. Pre-registration is not required. Please contact the Park and Recreation Department at 308-237-4644 for more information.
