GI Police: 'The IRS does not take payments of ITunes gift cards'
Grand Island Police would like to warn people of an IRS phone scam that tricked a man out of hundreds of dollars.
GIPD said that a man was called by someone that claimed to be with the IRS.
They said the man sent $350 dollars worth of ITunes gift cards.
According to the IRS, they will not contact someone over the phone to demand immediate payment - they will send a bill through the mail.
They also don't demand that you pay your taxes in a specific way, such as through a debit card or a prepaid card.
