UPDATE: Hastings fire at industrial park caused by operational issue with machine
Hastings firefighters said a blaze at an industrial park on the city's south side was caused by a operational issue with a machine.
Firefighters were called to Five Star Molding around 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
The company is located at Industrial Park West, near the intersection of Highway 6 and S. Baltimore Avenue.
According to the Hastings fire chief, they called Glenville and Clay Center Fire Departments to assist.
Officials said the fire was started due to operations issues with a machine located inside the building.
They said the structure of the building is fine but the machine was destroyed.
