A judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a former officer at the Hall County Jail.

Alan Peterson said he was fired for raising concerns about management.

He claimed top administrators engaged in a conspiracy of lies and exaggerations.

Peterson said this led to his firing in 2013.

According to the lawsuit, the claims were against former Hall County Corrections Director Fred Ruiz and Assistant Director Jimmy Vann.

A judge said the lawsuit was insufficient and that it's barred by the two-year statute of limitation.

Peterson has 30 days to file an amended complaint.
