Kearney law enforcement run for a good cause

An officer with Kearney Police Department and a Special Olympic runner say they enjoy supporting the cause.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics took place down Central Avenue to the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney.

The run has gone on since 1985.

An officer with Kearney Police Department and a Special Olympic runner said they enjoy supporting the cause.

"Meeting with the athletes, building those relationships and having my partners out here. It doesn't get any better than that," said Officer Rob Taillon.

"The organization for special Olympics it means a lot to me because it really touches people's lives," said Special Olympic Runner John Sherbert.
