Man found guilty of using stolen credit card numbers to buy gas receives probation
Man guilty of using stolen credit card numbers to buy gas has been sentenced to four years probation.
Oniel Benitez, of Grand Island, 39, pleaded guilty to seven counts of first degree forgery in October.
According to court records, five other counts were dropped.
Documents said Benitez was sentenced on Tuesday to four years probation and will be placed in jail for 12 days.
Grand Island police said Benitez used stolen card numbers to buy diesel at numerous gas stations in Gibbon.
Police said they caught him on surveillance video buying the fuel.
