Musician connects literature with song at free concert at Kearney library

(NTV News)

Emily Arrow is bringing picture books to life through song at the Kearney Public Library.

Arrow connects literature to music with the help of a ukulele, and she is planning a free concert at the library on Sept. 14.

With permission from the books' creators, she has created songs inspired by the books of award-winning authors and illustrators, including: Peter H. Reynolds of The Dot, Peter Brown of The Curious Garden, and Kelly Light of Louise Loves Art.

The program is open to all ages, which begins at 10 a.m. at 2020 1st Avenue.
