Police: Man shot in chest ran through neighborhood looking for help
Update Jan. 17, 1:59 p.m: Omaha police have identified the man who was shot Wednesday morning.
They say Brett Shelton, 26, was shot around 11 a.m. near 41st Street and Bedford Avenue.
He was taken to Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition.
OMAHA, Neb (FOX 42 KPTM)-- Omaha police are looking into a shooting in North Omaha right now.
Police say they received a call from someone in the neighborhood of 41st and Bedford that someone had been shot.
Officers say that person ran through the neighborhood and knocked on doors looking for help before a Good Samaritan called 911.
In a tweet, police said they are having to use a Shotspotter to figure out exactly where the shooting happened.
