Police say search of woman's belongings at courthouse leads to discovery of meth
BEAVER CITY, Neb. —
A Holbrook woman is facing more drug charges after officials say she showed up to the Furnas County courthouse with meth.
According to a press release from the Furnas County Sheriff's Office, Teresa Nelson was set for a preliminary hearing on Monday at 10 a.m. She did not show for the hearing so a warrant was put out for her arrest.
The sheriff's office says Nelson did arrive at 1 p.m. At that point she was arrested, and deputies say they found a baggie of meth in her belongings.
She now faces an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine. Her new bond sits at $25,000.
