Priceless items taken in McCook museum burglary
McCOOK, Neb. —
Police are looking for suspects after artifacts were found missing from a museum in McCook.
According to the McCook Police Department, the burglary happened between late Saturday and early Sunday at the McCook High Plains Historical Society and Museum.
Police say the burglar or burglars took a World War II era Japanese dress saber and a World War II era German bayonet.
Both items were on loan from private owners and are considered priceless.
Officers are still looking for suspects, and they ask the public to keep an eye out as they may be trying to sell the items.
