A one-of-a-kind memorial is honoring our nation's bravest men and women at the Nebraska State Fair.

It is the Remembering Our Fallen memorial.

On the tribute towers, there are 4,300 men and women from across the nation who died fighting the war on terror.

Included in the memorial is Noala Fritz's 25-year-old son, 1st Lieutenant Jacob Fritz from Verdon, Neb.

"This picture here, is the last time he was home, and we were moving cattle from the pasture to the stock field," Noala Fritz said. "I love having both these pictures, because one you see the kid who always had a big old smile and that he was just a good old Nebraska farm boy."

You can find the exhibit just outside the south entrance of the Heartland Event Center on the fairgrounds.
