Talks continue about possible middle school for GINW school district
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. —
Discussions continue about a proposed middle school for the Grand Island Northwest (GINW) school district after school officials met with focus groups about it.
They presented the findings of those two groups and other additional surveys to the board on Monday night. Some of the talking points include what the school concept would look like and the costs surrounding it- like introducing a bond measure or utilizing outside funding.
"Really that's where the board's challenge lies," said GINW Superintendent Matt Fisher. "Is trying to sift through all the information and figure out what is the best course of action and ultimately that's what they're elected to do is to gather that information and ultimately make those decisions."
No action was taken at Monday night's board meeting. Another negotiation meeting will be held in December.
