Town Hall meeting introduces Eric Mortimore as Kearney City Council candidate
KEARNEY, Neb. —
Kearney's Eric Mortimore hosted a town hall meeting at the Kearney Public Library on Thursday night, which focused on his decision to run for Kearney City Council.
The meeting was a chance for Mortimore to get his name out and to gather ideas from voters, both to help with his campaign and to get the public's input about issues impacting the community.
"To get more people's ideas of what people really want instead of some lady or guy that sits in a nice cool air conditioned or heated office every day with their suit jacket on." said Kearney City Council candidate Eric Mortimore. "I'm actually want to go out to the community and get what the people want, not what I think they want."
Mortimore is one of six candidates vying for two open city council spots in Kearney this election season.
