TransCanada applies for Keystone XL Pipeline route approval
Nebraska (NTV) —
TransCanada, the company attempting to build the Keystone XL Pipeline, has once again applied for approval from Nebraska.
According to the Nebraska Public Service Commission, the company would have to prove the route is in the best public interest for the state.
In order to show that burden of proof is met the commission would have to determine the safety of the pipeline the risk or impact of spills or leaks what impact it would have on the state's environment as well as on the state's economy.
The commission has 210 days to approve or deny the route.
