Two arrested after home burglaries in Hastings
HASTINGS, Neb. —
Two people were arresting in Hastings after a series of burglaries were reported in the area.
29-year-old Kimberly Buss and 26-year-old Shawn Sharp were arrested on possession of stolen property charges, and Buss had an additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and theft by receiving stolen property.
The Hastings Police Department were serving a search warrant at a storage unit in the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at around 1 a.m. Wednesday, and they found Buss at the unit.
Officers located property from residence thefts that were reported on Tuesday in the storage unit.
Police say Sharp arrived at the scene with more stolen property as officers were arresting Buss, and he was then taken into custody as well.
Buss reportedly had stolen credit cards and methamphetamine in her possession at the time of arrest, and Sharp was found with checks and a laptop.
