Village maintenance superintendent arrested
HERSHEY, Neb. —
A village superintendent in Lincoln County has been arrested again, according to the sheriff’s office.
They said deputies were called to the 700 block of West 2nd Street in Hershey at 2:28 a.m. Wednesday after someone called 911 to report a man with a gun threatening people.
A woman reported her boyfriend assaulted her and was pointing a shotgun at another person, but they escaped, according to the sheriff’s office.
They said deputies arrested Ronnie Stewart Jr., 50, after talking to him on the phone and asking to come out of the home he was in. There, deputies report finding drug paraphernalia and several firearms while searching for more potential victims.
According to officials, two of the firearms had been reported stolen.
Stewart was arrested for Domestic Assault 3rd Degree, Terroristic Threats, Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Stewart is being held in the Lincoln County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
Stewart is listed as the maintenance supervisor on the Village of Hershey’s Facebook page.
According to Lincoln County Court records, Stewart was arrested for DUI in December. He was found guilty after pleading no contest to a 1st Offense DUI charge.
