Update: Woman gets probation for fiery Sonic crash
The woman convicted in a fiery crash at a Grand Island restaurant has been ordered to serve probation.
Cassandra Edmunds, 21, pled guilty to DUI after police say she crashed into the South Locust Street Sonic drive thru, lighting her car and the building on fire.
She’s was sentenced to nine months probation on Thursday. She was given one day of jail time, but credit for one day served.
Edmunds was also ordered to pay a $500 dollar fine and court costs.
Her driver’s license will be revoked for 60 days and an ignition interlock system will be installed in her vehicle after.
A hearing has been scheduled for November 27 in Hall County Court.
