Spring games are great opportunities for players under the radar to shine. Nebraska walk–on Wyatt Mazour taking advantage of his touches in the Red–White game and possibly moving up an already crowded depth chart at I–back.

The Albion native led both teams in rushing and receiving yesterday. Mazour scoring 1 TD in a goal line situation to go along with 57 yards on the ground, and 78 through the air. The sophomore battled injuries last year limiting his ability to get on the field. Mazour believes this season, he's primed to make a big impact.

"Throughout spring I thought I did pretty well," said Mazour after the Red-White game. " I think I'd give myself a B plus on that too. I was able to work on my consistency a lot this spring. That was one of my goals because I knew what I could bring to the game. I knew that I can play pretty well. I just needed to show the coaches that I'm consistent especially with my pass blocking."

Wyatt could also see time on special teams. He tallied up more than 600 return yards in high school at Boone Central.
