Diaco to coach Blackshirts
Bob Diaco is the next defensive coordinator for the Blackshirts, and is now the highest paid assistant in Nebraska football history.
The recently fired UConn Head Coach will make $825,000 during his first season in Lincoln. That number increases to $875,000 in year two.
Diaco won the Broyles Award in 2012 while helping Nortre Dame to the national championship game. The Fighting Irish ranked seventh in total defense, and second in scoring, giving up fewer than 13 points per game.
Notre Dame was Diaco's home for four seasons, but his coaching career dates back to 1996 when he was a graduate assistant at Iowa.
