The first team saw about 25 of those, while the 2nd team was closer to 30 plays. This was the first time Nebraska was able to tackle in full pads. Mike Riley and company seeing improvement as the scrimmage progressed.
"It was a real good day," Riley stated to the media after practice. "I think we hit the number we wanted to with the plays we wanted to be live. I think it was a mixed bag a little bit. There was a lot of good plays with the 1 defense in there. I thought that was good. I thought the 1 offense made some plays, but not consistent but had some nice runs. I was excited about that."
Nebraska returns to the practice field on Monday.
