Tanner Lee tabbed as top quarterback entering summer

Putting all speculation to rest, Nebraska head coach Mike Riley stated Tanner Lee is the top quarterback entering the summer at the University of Nebraska, as announced on his Twitter account Wednesday afternoon.

Riley said he and his coaching staff hoped to use the week after the spring game as a time to evaluate and make the necessary decisions for specific positions, quarterback among them.

Lee showed he has what it takes to lead the Big Red offense, throwing for 190 yards, three touchdowns, and completing 68% of his passes against the second and third string Blackshirts.

Riley giving plenty of credit to the other quarterbacks in his Twitter posts, and says, "All of our QBs understand that competition and opportunity is ongoing."

Redshirt freshman quarterback Patrick O'Brien also took to Twitter with his thoughts after the decision.
