Wisconsin defense poses challenges for Nebraska

Football is a game of change. What worked a few years ago for one team may not be successful in present day. If we know anything about the Big Ten it's this, regardless of 3 different head coaches and 4 new defensive coordinators the last few years, Wisconsin continues to stop opposing offenses in their tracks.

The Badger defense has been ranked in the top 25 nationally in total defense and scoring defense for a remarkable 7 years in a row. This year is more of the same. Wisconsin is surrendering 247 yards per game, that's 4th best in the country. The Badgers have only allowed 6 TD this year through 4 games. 3 of those scores were against Northwestern last week. UW securing high praise from Nebraska OC Danny Langsdorf.

“They are solid across the board, personnel wise. Really good statistically," Langsdorf said. “I think they’re the top two or three in our conference and top 10 nationally. So they’re really scouting against the run. The scoring defense does well. They’ll be the best defense we’ve faced.”
