HASTINGS --- The NAIA No. 3 ranked Hastings College Broncos held No. 11 Midland to a .083 hitting percentage in a clean sweep (-23, -20, -15) Wednesday night at Lynn Farrell Arena.

With the victory, Hastings College will host fifth-ranked Dordt, Saturday, 7 p.m., for the GPAC tournament championship. Hastings College has already secured a spot in the NAIA tournament, meaning Dordt advances with an automatic bid as well, win or lose, because the Broncos won the regular season for the other automatic spot provided to the conference.

Sage Meyer led all Bronco attackers with 16 kills on her 42 attacks, (.286 %), and also helped defensively with three solo blocks. Hastings College was responsible for 12.0 as a team.

Once again, Andrea LaVene paced the Hastings defense, with two ace blocks and four assists. Casey Krolikowski was in on an assist, but contributed the most to the Bronco effort with nine kills.

Freshman Lucy Skoch (.625) and junior Matti Dabovich (.714) each provided five kills at a very high rate of success.
