Doane stops Bronco win streak at four
CRETE, Neb. —
Doane outscored Hastings College by 21 points from three-point range and halted the Broncos four-game winning streak, 71-58, Wednesday night at the Haddix Center.
Rylee Zimmerman scored a game-high 15 for the Tigers, who hit on 9-of-18 threes as a team. Hastings College could only connect on 2-of-15 tries, or 13.3% of the attempts, for six points. The Broncos were only able to shoot 37.5% from the field for the night, more than eight percentage points behind Doane.
Bart Hiscock was the leading scorer for the crimson and cream with his 14, but his night was synonymous with the Bronco woes, hitting 4-of-12 from the field and an even worse 1-of-5 from long range.
Hastings College drops to 13-7 overall, 3-5 in GPAC games. The Broncos are back on the road Saturday at No. 10 Northwestern at 4 p.m.
