Hastings College softball riding momentum into GPAC Championship series

The Hastings College softball team making the most of their home field advantage in the GPAC tournament. The Broncos winning all 3 of their games to advance on to the championship series against number 9 Morningside.

Hastings College staying hot at the plate. The Broncos belting out 7 homers and 21 hits in all during their 3 victories. A 6 run inning for HC sealing the deal in their final game against Concordia. The Broncos believe they're playing their best softball at the right time.

" We've gone to a more set lineup", said head coach Troy Baker. " Alyssa Carter is a great shortstop and she's only a freshman. She's only going to get better and better. When she gets the ball in the glove, it's over because she's got a great arm even though she's so tiny. I think that goes hand in hand with our pitching. You know Josie and our staff have done a great job of just throwing strikes and making them put it in play and I think we're just picking up the ball a little bit better."

Hastings College playing for the GPAC Championship bright and early tomorrow in Sioux City at 11 am followed by game 2 beginning at 1 pm...
