The Blackshirts led the way, as the Husker defense smothered Michigan all day, on the way to a 17-13 win in the Big House.

The defense recorded several sacks, putting tremendous pressure on Wolverines QB Devin Gardner.

Meanwhile, Tommie Armstrong and Ron Kellogg III again split time as quarterback for the Huskers. But it was Armstrong who led the team down the field on the winning drive, capped with a toss to Ameer Abdullah to seal the game.
