Axtell sweeps D8 district track and field meet

The girls and boys teams from Axtell went on to win the D8 district track and field meet, Wednesday at Kenesaw, with Blue Hill coming in second on both sides.

Loomis was the best hurdling team in the meet, as Skylar Hadley went out and put a 15.0 second time on the board in the girls 100 M low hurdles. Isaac Wahls went out and followed it up with a 15.8 in the 110 M high hurdles.

Blue Hill got a great run from Kenzie Hubl in the girls 100 M dash, beating Axtell's Regan Miller by three-tenths of a second and finishing in 15.3 seconds.

Braiden Gomez of Axtell won the 100 M dash by less than a tenth of a second over John Schuster as both were recorded to reach the tape in 11.3 seconds.

In the boys 3200 M run, Colby Karr out of Blue Hill hit it big with a 10:46.4 second time to complete his eight laps for the win.
