Islanders dropped by Archbishop Bergan in HAC opener

Grand Island Senior High couldn't capitalize on a chance to score more runs in the early goings as they fell to Archbishop Bergan 11-6 in the Heartland Athletic Conference baseball tournament quarterfinals.

The Islanders are now forced to play through the left side of the bracket and can finish no better than 5th in the tournament.

GISH entered the Heartland Athletic Conference as the number one seed, yet dropping two straight after falling victim to Papillion-La Vista South (5-0) and Lincoln Northeast (14-11) Saturday at the PLVS triangular.
