The Nebraska Pride girls' basketball program continued their summer schedule this week competing in the Miss Basketball showcase. The Pride is well represented on the court with 3 different teams suiting up.

Pride I and III enter championship Saturday undefeated. Both of those teams finished first in Pool B and I. Pride II fell to 1–2 following a loss at the hands of South Central Elite 15. All the work and preparation that the Pride program have put in this summer is beginning to show in their play on the hardwood.

"We started practicing in April, it's kind of cool to see the growth of kids who compete against each other and then they grow together," said Pride Program Director, Kelly Cooksley. " It's just a fun process to sit back and watch."

Pride II will begin bracket play at 9 am against the Denver Gators. Pride I will tip off at 11:20 against the Twin Lakes Stars while Pride III gets going at 1:40 versus the DC Attack. All games will be at the Health and Sports Center at UNK.
