Tim Dvorak returning to Grand Island Central Catholic as the next head coach for Crusader football.

He's happy to be back in Grand Island.

"I know I'm extremely excited for the opportunity to come back to Grand Island Central Catholic," Dvorak said. "For me it means, really, I'm coming home. That's the only way to put it.

"My family has gone through here, I have graduated from here in 2008. I've always had a passion for this school, this program. The only way to put it; I'm coming home."

Dvorak was most recently at Lincoln Northeast as a defensive coordinator where he's been since 2013. He takes over a program winning a combined four games the last two years, including a 1–8 showing in 2016.

Dvorak played prep football at Central Catholic through the 2007 season before his college career at Nebraska Wesleyan where he played football and earned a teaching degree.

Dvorak is also going to be a teacher at GICC.
