Gable gets tryout with Colts while Pats mull decision

The New England Patriots is a scandalous organization.

From taping opposing teams during a regular season game for five years to deflating footballs a couple of seasons ago. There are other instances as well.

Yet, a son of the state is in talks with them for a possible spot on the roster, and even Josh Gable is getting the run–around.

As of Friday morning, his status with New England is still unknown, one way or the other.

While the Patriots mull their decision on whether to sign Gable or not, the Kearney High graduate and Nebraska Danger kicker was invited to, and is partaking in, the Indianapolis Colts rookie camp this weekend.

Oddly, this is the current home of long–time Patriot and Colt kicker Adam Vinatieri. He just completed his 21st season and is 44 years old. Vinatieri hit 87.1% of his 31 field goal attempts last year with a long of 54.
