Kozeal completes experience of a lifetime

Tyke Kozeal named 1st-team all-MIAA in 2016 (NTV News)

Tyke Kozeal living out the experience of a lifetime this weekend.

"I really enjoyed my time there and felt blessed for the opportunity," said Kozeal.

Invited to participate in an NFL rookie camp by the Eagles, who brought him out for three days to Philly.

The 2017 Division II All-American with 604 career tackles "played really well" and even had the only interception of the entire camp on Saturday.

Guys who were drafted and already have deals, including former Husker Nate Gerry, didn’t even come away with a pick, and somehow Kozeal left the City of Brotherly Love without any when it comes to a deal.

Despite not receiving an offer, Kozeal remains extremely upbeat and plans to continue training in case the day ever comes.

"If a player gets injured then I could receive a call, so as of now it is a waiting game," said the Sargent, Neb. native.

Kozeal is the 11th player from UNK invited to tryout or receive an NFL contract.
