Born in Detroit, Michigan, Jessica Stevenson’s interest in news began when her middle school teacher sent an article of hers to the Detroit Free Press to be published. Because of this, she decided to pursue a Journalism Degree at Michigan State University and internships at 93.9 The River and Citadel Broadcasting.
After graduation, she spent some time in Los Angeles, where she found a job planning red carpet events for clients such as Dancing with the Stars, Dexter, and Ray Donnovan. Eventually, she made her way into the news room at WLUC in Escanaba, Michigan as the Bureau Reporter. When she decided she would like to transition in to a morning program, she discovered a spot at NTV as a reporter and multimedia journalist and thought it was the perfect fit. She now enjoys covering local events and highlighting the amazing people within our community.
When she isn’t working, Jessica likes to try out new sports and activities. Some of her favorites include kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, snowboarding and yoga. When she isn’t out being active, she spends time trying new restaurants and relaxing in coffee bars.
