New details released on Omaha woman who was arrested after authorities said she allegedly shot her husband on the Interstate while her two kids were in the back seat.
31 year-old Kathleen was prosecuted in Dawson County Court on Thursday on charges of 2nd Degree Murder and Use of A Weapon to Commit a Felony.
Court documents reveal Kathleen Jourdan and her husband, Joshua were in the process of relocating to Scottsbluff.
While driving back from Scottsbluff they had an argument and Joshua who was driving, pulled over on the side of the interstate.
Kathleen told investigators Joshua gave her a “look” while at the same time raising his arm at her, as if he was going to hit her.
She told investigators she advised him that if he hit her, she was going to pull out their gun allegedly located in the center counsel.
She added that she was not sure if her actions were justified because she felt she was protecting herself and her two sons in the backseat.
Kathleen detailed instances in the past involving domestic violence, to including but not limited to sexual assault, verbal and physical abuse, according to officials.
The children are in protective custody.
The investigation remains ongoing and Kathleen is expected to be in court July 2 for her preliminary hearing.
