Former Shelton Superintendent Enters Not Guilty Plea

Brian Redinger and his attorney Kevin Knacke

Former Shelton Public Schools Superintendent Brian Redinger appeared in Hall County District Court Tuesday morning for arraignment.

He entered a plea of not guilty. Redinger faces four counts: threatening to kill his wife, strangulation, domestic assault and attempted assault.

He is accused of threatening and assaulting his wife as they drove through Hall County in April.

A pre-trial date is set for Sept. 14.

Shelton has since named an interim superintendent to replace Redinger.
