Grand Island Public Library (NTV News)

The Grand Island Public Schools and the library are doing a summer Makerspace Grant Program for teens that have just finished 6, 7, and 8th grade at the middle schools.

They have buses that pick up the teens at Walnut, Barr, and Westridge.

They have a lot of fun activities planned with the 3D printer, gaming, science, computers, crafts, reading, art, etc. It takes place Monday-Wed each week through July from 12:30-4. They start at their school and get bused here to the library.

For more information please contact Jill Kimbough at jkimbrough@gips.org.

Meanwhile, the library is working on permanent upgrades that will include some of the same technology.
