KEARNEY, Neb. -- A little more than a year after opening, a Kearney hardware store is already expanding.
Masters True Value said they're listening to their customers and adding more space, a few new brands, and expanding lines they already carry.
The new addition is 2,500 square feet, bringing the store to a total of 10 thousand square feet.
"What it does for us is it gives us a new entrance with better access to parking, our handicap accessibility is going to be a lot better, our visibility to the highway and to the roads from Kearney are going to be quite a bit better and so we're hoping it'll take care of some of the problems we were having," said general manager Andy Donovan.
He said over the last year, sales have been good, in fact quite a bit above projections, and they hope this addition will improve sales even more.
The store expects the project to be complete by March 1.
