Crossroads Center purchase Just for Ladies gym in Kearney

Crossroads was awarded a $75,000 grant to expand their transitional housing program.

KEARNEY, Neb. — The Crossroads Center closed on a huge project that will allow them to expand.

The organization was awarded a $75,000 grant to broaden their transitional housing program.

Crossroads also purchased Just for Ladies gym which allows Crossroads to incorporate fitness into their program at their current shelter in Kearney.

Some of Just for Ladies professional trainers will also work with Crossroads residents.

Adding to that, a fitness center will be placed at the Crossroads Center in Kearney.

"It's really incredible to think that we started out with just a shelter and now we five acres to actually expand and do future projects.," said Jerry Bumgardner who is the executive director of Crossroads.

Just for Ladies will continue as a regular business and will continue to be a to be a gym for women only.
