Gov. Ricketts defends pro-life values in Washington, D.C.
Nebraska governor Pete Ricketts continued to defend his pro-life initiative as he addressed thousands of people at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C.
Ricketts spoke about trying to restrain federal dollars that are used for abortion.
He pointed to a provision that would end Title X funding to health clinics like Planned Parenthood.
"We want a clear line, a clean marker between the organizations that are providing abortions and where these dollars are going and that's what we put into our budget to reflect that," Ricketts said. "So that's one of the ways we are trying to live our pro-life values in Nebraska."
