KEARNEY, Neb. -- With only six ingredients, the Jalapeno Popper Wonton Cups are a quick appetizer to make for any holiday party.
Sonya Griffith from The Rustic Patch said to start with a greased muffin tin, line each cup with a wonton wrapper. These can be found in the produce department at Hy-Vee.
Brown for 8 minutes in the oven at 350.
Mix together the remaining ingredients.
4 ounces of softened cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
12 ounces of crumbed bacon
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
"You're going to go ahead and just mix that with a spoon, no blender needed," said Griffith.
Add three to four cleaned Jalapenos. Giffith said don't forget to wear gloves for this step.
"Go ahead and place the knife down the side and then you can just pull that apart, and then look, see there's your seeds and this is the hot part," said Griffith. "You're just going to take your thumb and you're just going to clean that out."
Finely chop the peppers then fold them into the cheese mixture.
"You're going to want to take your cookie scooper, and then you're just going to take this, and you're just going to scoop that in there, that's all," said Griffith.
Top with bacon crumbles and bake for 8 to 10 minuets at 350 degrees.
"The best part is bringing them out when they're fresh out of the oven, they're easy jeezy."
