UPDATE: Two vehicle crash stops traffic on Highway 10 north of Minden
MINDEN, Neb. — A two-vehicle crash stopped traffic along highway 10 just north of Minden Wednesday evening.
The Kearney County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) said they received a call around 6:15 p.m. of the accident about one mile north of Minden on Highway 10 at N Road.
There were two vehicles involved, a Chevy Silverado and a Nissan Altima, according to our reporter on scene.
According to KCSO, both vehicles were traveling northbound on Highway 10 when the front vehicle slowed to turn off of the highway.
The rear vehicle didn't notice the other slowing down and struck the it from behind, according to authorities.
KCSO said three people were transported to Kearney County Health Services with non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic was blocked both north and south on Highway 10.
Law enforcement did allow traffic to travel on the southbound shoulder around 7:15 p.m.
The Minden Police Department assisted KCSO by providing traffic control during the investigation.
